ON THORNS I LAY are Greek Titans. While their colleagues from Rotting Christ, Septic Flesh, and Nightfall were more inclined towards symphonic and black metal, the band from Athens incorporated a touch of gothic on their 1994 debut. It makes sense, since they are named after a sonnet by Shakespeare.
ON THORNS I LAY have released 9 albums so far, including Orama, Crystal Tears, Aegean Sorrow, and Threnos, which received great reviews (Scream Norway, album of the month, Inferno Finland 5/5, Metal Storm top 5 albums of the year 2020, and many others...).
