by Olli (02/03) The melancholic heaviness with which Staind already hit me with their last album, "Break the cycle" - especially by the monster hits, "It's been a while" and "Outside" - is transferred to all the performed songs of this unplugged-concert. The quartet, or better many of their songs simply seems predestined for an unplugged gig. Aaron's vocals - without distorted guitars - are just beautiful and provide each song with a goose-flesh feeling. In my opinion, they could have taken care for a bit more extras, like e.g. more use of the second voice part of their bass player, or also some percussion-elements. But at the end of the day it's a very well-done show with which you just wanna sit back and relax. How I wished I had participated. If after all this heartbreaking acoustic performance you still haven't had enough of it you can go to the special features section and watch the complete discography and an interview taken directly before the show. Furthermore you get clips for "Epiphonie", "Mudshovel", "Outside", "It's been a while", a making-of and much more. The digital sound is obligatory and you get sub-titles in four different languages. Ingenious!
