by Matthias Mader (20.04.2009) Alright, the cover of this album doesn't look too appealing... But the music is. The two pairs of brothers hailing from Scottsdale/Arizona deliver pure, sometimes even furious US (Power) Metal. In 2007, when these ten songs were produced, the musicians were 15 resp. 17 years old - a lot of craftsmanship for such young blokes! Just check out those guitars on "You can’t change me", "Fingertips of fate" or "Dawn of a new era". Who knows - maybe Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, or Vinnie Moore have to move closer together in their hall of fame one day... Musically, Age Of Evil like it rough'n'tough and will remind you a bit of Deuce/Tension, Vicious Rumors, and Agent Steel occasionally. If the production had been juicier, Age Of Evil would have gotten the "perfect" score - being like it is, it's still a great debut.
