Product description

Ghost returns with the new Album 'Impera'. This version is released on black Vinyl and comes with a 28-page booklet.

'We are building our new empire from the ashes of an old one' - with these words, the Grammy-winning Swedish institution of theatrical Rock music, GHOST, announces the upcoming release of their fifth studio Album, IMPERA, which will be released on March 11th, via Loma Vista Recordings. After the predecessor, PREQUELLE, nominated for a Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2018, was set in the 14th century and during the European plague pandemic, Ghost is litresally catapulted hundreds of years forward in time with IMPERA. The result is the most ambitious and lyrically poignant work in Ghost's Album canon: throughout the 12-song cycle of IMPERA, empires rise and fall, wannabe messiahs engage in their (monetary and spiritual) hype-marketing, and prophecies are made, while the firmament is filled with celestial bodies of divine and human creation. The most thematically current Ghost Album to date unfolds against a hypnotic, darkly colorful melodic backdrop, making IMPERA an unparalleled listening experience.
