Product description

With their fourth album, Deaf To Our Prayers, the guys from Heaven Shall Burn took a deTour into Death Metal. Nuanced and melodic guitar riffs, demanding beats, and dark screams all in one, that's Deaf To Our Prayers. Long-standing fans might miss the Metalcore elements a bit, but Heaven Shall Burn also know how to convince with uncompromising, energetic Death Metal.

by Andreas Reissnauer (18.07.2006) Wow! Heaven Shall Burn are and will remain Germany's metal core band No. 1! If you thought that "Antigoneβ€œ was the upper end you'll be surprised: "Deaf to our prayersβ€œ can even outlive that little masterpiece. The Eastern Germans further refined their song writing and both sound as compact as before and further enhanced their epic side and recorded numerous great melodies for the album. A good example is "Trespassing the shores of our worldβ€œ. A song that begins ultra brutal, contains a melodious, epic middle part and ends with steam engine riff. Other songs are similarly and always contain a balance of hateful, and yet controlled blasts and a lot of melody. As always, the compositions of the quintet are complexly structured and need some listening sessions before you really know them. But then the majority of the material turns out to be absolutely live compatible. A great album!
