Product description

After endless legal disputes in the course of which the band was put on hold, β€žAmerican Psychoβ€œ released in 1997 is the first Misfits Album produced without band founder Glen Danzig. It is nevertheless a classic of the Horror Punk genre due to its excellent production and hits like β€šDig up Her Bonesβ€œ.

by Holger (null) What? A Misfits reunion without mastermind Glenn Danzig? The only left-overs of the original line-up are bassman Jerry Only and guitarist Doyle? And who is Dr.Chud? The drummer! And 20-year-old Michale Graves is going to take over Glenn's part? Well, well, let's see (and hear)... I have to admit the guys still rock as shit even at the "intermediate" age and know how to convince. The new material is especially striking because of the terrific melodies, cool up-tempo pieces, shout-along choruses and is to be classified somewhere inbetween "Walk among us" and "Earth A.D.". Michale Graves does his job surprisingly well and is a great substitute for Glenn. "American psycho" contains 17 typical and short songs (always 2-3 minutes) which makes the album even more entertaining. An absolute highlight of 1997!
