Black Sabbath win at Classic Rock Awards
Black Sabbath have rocked this years Classic Rock Award show winning three awards! The band released their latest album '13' this year to positive reviews for which they took home the award for Album of the year. They then also received the Event of the Year Award for reaching number one after 43 years.
Finally, the band received the most prestigious Living Legend award, previous winners include Iggy Pop, Jimmy Page and ZZ Top. Ozzy Osbourne said: “I never thought I’d be standing here, what, 45 years later? It’s an incredible event for us all. We’re still in shock. It’s been an incredible year, after I spent all those earlier ones trying to kill myself.”

Other winners included The Rolling Stones, who took home the band of the year award and Zakk Wylde who received the Metal Guru award:
Shep Gordon, manager of Alice Cooper for more than 40 years, was also honored with a special VIP Award. The prize also recognizes his work as a film producer and humanitarian, as well as his contribution to the careers of artists throughout the industry.
A documentary about the legendary manager, directed by Mike Myers and titled SuperMensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon, recently premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
